Linden Homes Invite Local House Hunters To Exclusive Help To Buy Weekend

Linden Homes Eastern is offering Saffron Walden house hunters an opportunity to attend an exclusive Help to Buy weekend at its stunning Saffron View development on Saturday 17th March and Sunday 18th March. The event will give househunters the opportunity to find out about the Government Help to Buy scheme, the homes that offer this incentive at the development and find answers to any questions they may have from the Linden experts.

Saffron View comprises of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes and is suitable for first time buyers, second steppers and downsizers alike. Linden Homes is pleased to invite local househunters to the development over the weekend to chat with the team about how they can help to secure their dream home at the development by utilising the Help to Buy scheme.

With Help to Buy, purchasers can secure their new home with only a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage, the Government will cover the rest with a 20% equity loan which is interest-free for the first five years.

The scheme is capped at £600,000 meaning a variety of house hunters can secure a larger brand-new home than they first thought - opening up options to those looking for a second step, and not just for first-time buyers looking for a two-bedroom starter home.

Pravin Amarasinghe, Sales and Marketing Director for Linden Homes Eastern commented: “Since its launch, the Help to Buy scheme has provided many house hunters with the opportunity to finally own their first home. However, it is still not widely known that those who already own a home are also eligible to utilise the scheme. We’re hoping that this weekend will provide us with the opportunity to address common misconceptions and ensure that anyone who is eligible for it, is able to make use of it to secure their dream home”.

“We will have a team on site throughout the entire weekend to answer any questions visitors may have about the Help to Buy scheme in relation to Saffron View homes. It’s a great opportunity to come down and see what homes are available with the scheme, I think people will be surprised at what they can purchase! If you’re thinking of buying a new home and looking in this desirable area, we’d suggest you come and see us this weekend to see how we can make Help to Buy work for you.

The Linden Homes Eastern collection of homes at Saffron View is part of Uttlesford District Council’s wider mixed-use scheme.

Nestled close to the border with Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, the picturesque, medieval town of Saffron Walden has a lot to offer including a good number of independent shops, large supermarkets, café’s pubs and restaurants. The historic town also boasts a reputation as a major centre for the arts and now enjoys a hugely successful cinema, state of the art concert hall and art galleries.

Saffron View also offers a semi-rural lifestyle – the perfect combination of city and countryside living. The development is surrounded by the rolling Essex countryside yet only 18 miles from Cambridge to the south, and Bishops Stortford is just 12 miles to the north. Transport links are excellent, with the nearby M11 giving easy access north to Cambridge and East Anglia, or south to Stansted Airport, the M25 and London, making it an ideal spot for commuters and families alike.

To find out more about the homes available, or for further information on the work at the development, please call 01245 676 230. Alternatively, the sales and marketing suite is open from 10am – 5pm Monday – Sunday.
