While dreary winter days set in, youngsters at Bracken Leas Primary School have something special to brighten up their break times – largely thanks to Linden Homes Midlands.
These fantastic colourful recycled plastic seats not only provide a splash of colour to the school playground and a great place to sit and chat, but double up as ‘buddy benches’.
Hannah Petrons, from the Friends of Bracken Leas School, explained: “If children are seen alone on the benches then others will make sure they are ok and have someone to play with if they want.
“The benches are from Marmax products and are positioned around the school playground. A generous Linden Homes donation has paid for two of the four benches, for which we and the children are most grateful. The Friends of Bracken Leas are constantly organising fundraising events, and will be able to make up the shortfall as the benches cost over £900.”
Linden Homes Midlands has a close association with the school, and earlier this year donated some money towards the cost of buying new books for the library.
The company is currently building a range of 139 two, three and four-bedroom homes at their Carpenter’s Place development in Brackley, boasting a selection of terraced, semi-detached and detached styles.
