Glamorously Glitzy Vs Nordic Chic Two Show Homes Unveiled At Tithe Barn
07 Mar 2016

Linden Homes has just launched two beautiful new show homes at its popular Tithe Barn development in Monkerton, Exeter…but which one will you prefer?

The four bedroom show home oozes style and features an opulent open plan dark grey gloss kitchen with cream and gold accessories. The glamorous living room has a classic, boutique hotel feel to it, with walnut furniture set off by a rich selection of soft furnishings in golds, creams and blacks. Upstairs there is a sumptuous navy, silver and gold master bedroom with memorable palm tree wallpaper and striking mirrored furniture. And for the younger generation: a rock star teenage boy’s room and a fashionable girl’s room, decorated in blacks, greys and neon colours.

The Nordic inspired three bedroom show home has been dressed using a neutral colour palette of creams, whites, greys and soft pastels, complemented with Scandinavian-style oak furniture. The interior designer has had fun in creating an enchanting little girl’s bedroom, which features mountains, patterned fabrics and a four poster bed, complete with fairy lights, bunting and paper honeycomb balls.

Vikki Hadley, interior designer for Claude Hooper Interior Designers, said: “I loved the brief to ‘create a little girl’s room that she wouldn’t want to leave’ and I’m really pleased with the result. Clean lines and the Nordic theme is very on-trend and its fresh look is perfect for the gorgeous new homes.

“The glitzy four bedroom show home takes its inspiration from a glamourous boutique hotel, with bold, textured wallpapers, dark furniture and a strong use of metallics.”

Brian Deacon, sales and marketing director for Linden Homes, said: “The two new show homes are stunning and give homebuyers a fantastic opportunity to see how their new home could look, while providing lots of ideas in terms of interior design.

“We’re running a competition until the end of April to see which is the preferred show home and a name will be drawn to win £100 in John Lewis vouchers, so we’re encouraging visitors to view the show homes and decide for themselves!”

Tithe Barn will comprise one, two, three and four bedroom high quality homes in a village-like setting, while being close to Exeter’s city centre.

The properties are being built to level four of the Code for Sustainable Homes, which will reduce energy usage and have a positive impact on utility bills for all residents. Behind this is a state-of-the-art district heating network which includes remote metering technology so homeowners can keep track of how much energy they’re using. Across the entire development, it is estimated that this new system will provide 7,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide savings per year – or the equivalent of removing 2,500 cars from the road.

Brian added: “Not only will the homes be energy efficient, but they will also be built to a high specification. We are extremely excited to have launched Tithe Barn with Aster Homes and have received a huge amount of interest already.”

For more information visit the show homes and sales and marketing suite, open daily from 10am to 5pm, off Tithebarn Link Road, Monkerton, Exeter, EX1 3RH, call 01392 338 588.
