Keyworker Package: how the scheme works

Firstly, WHO is eligible

  • Teachers, including FE teachers and Early Years/Nursery teachers
  • Police Officers, CSOs and frontline civilian police staff
  • Prison Officers and Prison Service staff
  • Probation Officers, Senior Probation Officers and Probation Service
  • Clinical staff employed by the NHS (excluding Doctors and Dentists)
  • Local Authority, Local Education Authority and NHS Social workers and Nursery Nurses
  • Local Authority Therapists (including Occupational, Speech and Language)
  • Local Authority Educational Psychologists
  • Local Authority Planners
  • Local Authority Clinical Staff
  • Uniformed staff (below principal level) in the Fire and Rescue Services
  • Connexions Personal Advisors
  • Highways Agency Traffic Officer staff
  • Local Authority Environmental Health Officers/Practitioners

The applicant must be permanently employed.

Applicants will be asked to give evidence of their employment and status prior to exchanging contracts.

The above may not be an exhaustive list of all “key workers” and consideration will be given to applications from other related fields of employment

Secondly, WHAT will I get?

The Keyworkers Package has been created especially to help essential employees move on and up the housing ladder.

The package below is not available to applicants wanting to purchase a property for Buy-to-Let purposes and is not available in conjunction with any other offer.

The full asking price is to be paid (unless any further discounts or schemes are agreed after the key worker status has been verified) and the qualifying key worker applicant must have their name on the title deed of the property.

The numbers of bedrooms of the home to be bought, decides the total amount of the contributions Linden Homes will make to your purchase fees and domestic bills over the first year. These sums above have been calculated on average basic usage by two adults over a 12 month period. There will be no negotiation on the figures above.

This sum in full will be allowed on legal completion by way of a cash discount which will be shown on both the CML Disclosure of Incentives and on the final account statement provided to your solicitor. This sum cannot be given as a cash-back after legal completion.
