Young Dracula stakes his claim for best haunted house!

Fright night: a ghostly gang of vampires, witches, skeletons and ghouls at Freshney Green, Grimsby

Fright night: a ghostly gang of vampires, witches, skeletons and ghouls at Freshney Green, Grimsby

There were plenty of treats in store for youngsters at Freshney Green near Grimsby when they joined in our evening of Halloween fun.

Witches and vampires descended on the popular development where the sales suite underwent a temporary spooky makeover, and local families joined in a range of eerie activities.

There was also a monster competition to encourage budding artists to design a haunted house – with the chance of winning a real treat, a Nintendo DS.

From the many entries submitted, the winning design was by Blaise Haughey who also impressed with his Young Dracula costume.

Freshney Green sales executive Alex Rymer said: “We had an amazing time and were so impressed with the effort all our visitors went to to get into the spirit of things – not only with their creative haunted house designs, but their fantastic costumes.”
