When one of the East Riding’s best-loved fundraising events moved to a new home this year, it seemed only fitting that the organisers enlisted a housebuilder as their new sponsor!

Our North region stepped up to support the 11th Pocktoberfest Beer Festival, in the town of Pocklington. It welcomed over 500 visitors and collected for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

Organised by the Pocklington & Market Weighton Round Table, the celebrations moved to the new location of the town’s rugby club where visitors enjoyed a packed day of beer and real ale drinking, food and a showcase of live music.

Round Table chairman Greg Frith approached us to seek support for the event. He said: “We were delighted to welcome Linden Homes on board this year, and we renamed the marquee in the company’s honour.

“Pocktoberfest is a very popular date in the local social calendar and we are thrilled to report another fantastic year. In addition, we hope to have raised a substantial amount of money for the RNLI.”

Steve Woomble, sales director for Linden Homes added: “It was a great pleasure to support such a popular event taking place right in the heart of our community.”

We’re building a collection of high quality new homes at Wilberforce Manor in Pocklington and also at Bradley Meadow in nearby Market Weighton.
