Our North region has served up some important funding for a thriving village tennis club in Yorkshire.
As the 2014 season gets underway, we’ve become the main backers for Sutton Upon Derwent Tennis Club, near York, which has more than 100 members playing in seven men’s, ladies’ and mixed teams.
We’ve committed to supporting the club with £300 a year for the next three seasons helping them with the funding they need for their junior section and to compete throughout the hugely popular York and District leagues.
As part of the sponsorship, we’ll also be adding our name to the club’s annual ladies’ tournament.
Linden Homes North managing director Ian Hessay said: “Sutton Upon Derwent Tennis Club is a flourishing organisation and we’re very pleased to be providing financial support to help it stay that way.
“Clubs like this are very important to sustain lively neighbourhoods and it’s part of our philosophy to contribute. We understand that high quality homes are nothing without a healthy community around them.”
All waste plasterboard is recycled and used in the manufacture of new plasterboard products.
