Sponsoring fun and games at village's annual carnival

Putting out the bunting: the Thorpe Willoughby carnival is a highlight of the year

Putting out the bunting: the Thorpe Willoughby carnival is a highlight of the year

Thorpe Willoughby’s annual village carnival got some helpful sponsorship from our North region this year.

The annual highlight was held on the village green and included a parade through parts of the community, near Selby in North Yorkshire.

This year’s theme was “computer game characters” and adding to the spectacle was a fire engine, bouncy castles and fairground rides. Children and adults enjoyed the craft stalls, face painting and tombola.

Thorpe Willoughby is the location of our Willeby Heights collection of 149 carefully designed three and four-bedroom homes, including a number of bungalows.

Linden Homes North managing director Ian Hessay said: “Thorpe Willoughby’s carnival is a highlight of the year which residents really look forward to, so we were delighted to give it our support.

“We aim to deliver quality homes where people want to live, and that means getting involved with local residents beyond the building site.”
