Young patients unable to go home from hospital this Christmas enjoyed a festive treat when we organised sacks of goodies to be dropped off for them.
Our Chiltern and Eastern regions both asked Father Christmas to deliver some special presents to Oxford Children's Hospital, Hillingdon Hospital, and Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
The gifts had all been donated from generous residents living at our developments, such as Cholsey Meadows in Oxfordshire, as well as friends and employees.
Naomi Burrell, marketing and communications manager at Linden Homes Chiltern, said: “We are so grateful to everyone who donated a present for the children – it was very generous of them and we really hope the delivery brightened up the festive season for the children who had to remain in hospital over Christmas.”
Hazel Hester, marketing manager from Linden Homes Eastern, added: “Some of the children at Broomfield weren’t able to go home for Christmas this year but we wanted them to know that our staff and customers were thinking of them.
“We hope the gifts brought a little extra seasonal sparkle to the children’s ward this Christmas. Linden Homes would like to thank everyone who generously donated gifts for our appeal. I am sure they were much appreciated!”
