Following its temporary closure earlier this summer, a skate park in Beverley, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, has re-opened thanks to safety and security maintenance carried out by our North region.
With the backing of Beverley Town Council, we financed and carried out maintenance to a damaged fence to secure the area and make it safe once again, ahead of its re-opening.
Linden Homes North sales director Steve Woomble said: “During our time of building new homes in Beverley, we have supported the local community in many ways and we certainly recognise the importance of provision for recreational facilities in the town for young people.
“It is sad that responsible users of the skate park have had to suffer because of the actions of a few. We, along with the council, want this to be a safe environment for youngsters to enjoy, and see the work carried out as our continued dedication and commitment to the local community.”
The Mayor of Beverley, Cllr Paul McGrath, said: “We appreciate the input of Linden Homes and their willingness to work in partnership with Beverley Town Council to provide much needed recreational facilities for the young of the town.
“We hope that the skate park will continue to be a much used asset and will be enjoyed by those who need it the most.”
Linden Homes has contributed over £12.8 million towards outdoor open areas throughout the UK since 2010.
All of our homes come with Smart Meters. These have the capacity to automatically send readings to your energy provider.
