Visit: (l-r) MD for Thames Valley Peter Carpinelli, Sir George Young MP and Cllr Clive Sanders

Sir George Young MP welcomed the new homes being delivered by our Thames Valley region when he visited Royal Chase near Newbury.

The MP for North West Hampshire was given a tour around the smart new development, in the village of Woolton Hill, by Linden Homes Thames Valley managing director Peter Carpinelli, plus members of the site and sales team.

Sir George was able to see for himself the progress being made and discuss issues affecting the economy and housebuilding industry. He was joined by Cllr Clive Sanders, the leader of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.

He said: “I very much enjoyed my site visit to Royal Chase. As a former housing minister, I was interested to hear how design is changing to reflect modern lifestyles, and as the local MP I was pleased to hear that this is a very popular location.
"I was also pleased to see that the development is a mixed one, with affordable homes there as an integral part of the scheme. I hope the homes find new occupiers quickly, and that those who live there enjoy a high quality of life.”

Peter Carpinelli added: “We are extremely proud of this development and we always welcome the views and feedback of the local representatives in and around the areas we work, particularly regarding the house building industry and the current economic situation.”
