We’re joining the Open Doors initiative later this year when budding builders will be able to peek behind the hoardings to see how construction sites really work.
Organised by the UK Contractors Group, the national two-day event on September 27th and 28th will see developments safely welcoming visitors to learn more about the industry. It’s aimed at attracting the brightest and best new recruits by showing the variety of careers available.
Linden Homes will be opening its site at Graylingwell Park, which in partnership with Affinity Sutton Group and the HCA has become the UK’s biggest net zero carbon development.
On completion, an on-site district heating system will provide warmth and hot water to all homes. The site is a conservation area with two Grade II listed buildings, a scheduled ancient monument, 472 protected trees and is a registered historic park and garden.
Linden Homes Guildford technical director David Evans said: “Open Doors is all about showing the reality of construction and the opportunities it holds. We want to play a part in promoting our industry so we’re very excited about inviting visitors to Graylingwell Park.”

Linden Homes has contributed over £30.7 million to highways, transport systems and infrastructure throughout the UK since 2010.
The blocks we use to build your home are the most energy efficient available and 80% of material within the blocks is recycled material - this saves heat loss from our homes and thus reduces CO2 emissions.
