Our Midlands region was in the running with £200 to help a Sapcote charity continue its vital support work with older people in the community.
We were one of the local businesses to sponsor a Race Night held at Sapcote Club which successfully raised £1,500 to raise funds for the Community Action Partnership Leicester and Leicestershire.
The partnership runs an Older Person’s Befriending Service – aimed at developing long term personal relationships with frail, lonely, isolated or immobile people in the area.
Volunteer fundraiser Teresa Lee accepted the cheque from sales executive Kate Sleath at our The Limes development in the village.
Mrs Lee said: “Blaby district’s older generations need and deserve our help and support and we would very much like to thank Linden Homes for their generous contribution.
“The visits and social groups are often the only real social contact some older people have. We currently befriend over 140 people in Blaby district.”
Linden Homes Midlands area sales manager Bev Bray added: “We were delighted to be able to support this excellent community cause, and recognise the very important work they do locally and wish them every continued success.”
We only use composite front doors which are insulated to lessen heat loss from our homes.
Linden Homes has contributed over £9.7 million towards leisure, sport and other public facilities in the UK since 2010.
