We dispelled some of the myths about housebuilding when our Guildford team dropped in to a school ahead of National Apprentice Week.
With the help of our regional managing director Peter Youll, youngsters learned more about the wide variety of construction careers at an educational evening hosted by Cranleigh School on Monday March 2nd.
In the past two years alone the industry has created 106,000 jobs: from bricklayers and architects to surveyors and interior designers.
Peter was joined by graduate land buyer Tristan Snell, who gave pupils a first-hand account of how the apprentice and training schemes offered by Linden Homes helped move him along his career path.
Peter said: “In order to deliver such a diverse range of projects, we need an equally diverse range of staff from project managers and site managers to surveyors, accountant and land buyers, as well as roles in sales and marketing.”
Tristan added: “It’s good to be learning on the job from people who have a lot of experience and who are always generous with their advice.”
Linden Homes has contributed over £30.7 million to highways, transport systems and infrastructure throughout the UK since 2010.
Our insulation process includes blowing insulation into cavity walls, which means our homes are better insulated because there are less air gaps.
