We were named among the top performers in a national benchmark which puts the spotlight on housebuilders for their sustainability.
NextGeneration – which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year – looks at the UK's 25 largest companies and assesses them on a wide range of 130 different criteria. We picked up a silver medal for scoring above the 70 per cent mark.
Linden Homes group managing director Andrew Richards said: "We’ve won awards for our sustainable record and this is another good signal showing our credentials rank high amongst housebuilders in the UK.
“As a result of the Linden Homes Foundation’s work, for instance, communities have enjoyed the benefit of extra investment, support and our expertise. Groups who often get overlooked have found in us the little extra help they needed to make a big difference locally.
"But we always strive for continuous improvement. We already have in place a firm commitment to environmental, social and economic sustainability, so we are confident of further progress.”
Next Generation is a membership based benchmark, consisting of many of the UK’s largest homebuilders, overseen by a high-level executive committee, the Homes and Communities Agency and UK Green Building Council.
Linden Homes has contributed over £9.7 million towards leisure, sport and other public facilities in the UK since 2010.
All of our homes come with Smart Meters. These have the capacity to automatically send readings to your energy provider.
