Youngsters got a funding boost when we chipped in to sponsor a London Marathon runner who works for one of our partner companies.
Steven Rance is taking on the challenge of the 26.2 miles in aid of the Mulberry Bush Organisation which provides specialist residential care for traumatised children aged between five and 13.
We added £250 to his fundraising pot which will go towards paying for the charity’s Mulberry Bush School and its Mulberry Bush Training project that provides university validated training, an outreach team for consultation and advisory work to other organisations.
Steven is a Partner at JLT Specialty Ltd; a company Linden Homes works with to help provide customers with the government-backed NewBuy mortgage deals that can help people onto the property ladder.
Linden Homes divisional managing director Tom Nicholson said: “We all wish Steven the very best of luck tackling the London Marathon and we hope he collects a big sum for the important work the Mulberry Bush Organisation does.
“The Linden Homes Foundation is dedicated to supporting communities at every level. That includes helping troubled youngsters who need that extra assistance to overcome the challenges they face.”
