Lights funding is town’s early Christmas present

Countdown: our Western region pledged £1,000 for festive decorations in Radstock, Somerset

Countdown: our Western region pledged £1,000 for festive decorations in Radstock, Somerset

The countdown to Christmas has started in Radstock, Somerset, with a £1,000 pledge from our Western region to support a new festive lights display.

The community is ramping up its Christmas activities this year so that as well as fresh decorations there will be fairground rides, a special land train, a lantern parade and craft markets.

Along with other local groups, we're doing our bit to support Radstock Town Team which also has plans to hang knitted pom poms for a bit of extra seasonal fun.

The big launch event will be held on Saturday December 5th when the town hopes for a big crowd of residents and visitors.

Sue Scholfield, Linden Homes Western sales director, said: “Radstock is pulling out the stops for this year's Christmas celebrations and we're very excited about getting involved.

"The activities and attractions sound marvellous and will kick off the festivities with a bang. We're proud to be doing our bit to make sure the lights provide just the right twinkling backdrop!"
