Homes named by magazine in Top 5 large developments

Praised: The Americas in Haywards Heath was hailed as a success by industry experts

One of our collections of homes in Haywards Heath was named in the top five of a national housing magazine’s list of best large developments.

The Americas is a set of houses and apartments we delivered in partnership with Affinity Sutton to transform a mid-1960s estate into 186 new properties, of which 71 are for social rent or affordable rent.

It was selected for the accolade by a panel of senior housing and regeneration specialists after first making it onto Inside Housing’s top 50 affordable housing developments. The announcement was made at an event in London on April 3rd.

Natalie Flint, sales and marketing director for Linden Homes Guildford, said: “We’re delighted that The Americas has been awarded this accolade from Inside Housing.

“As a developer we are proud to be able to offer both private and affordable housing schemes and the Americas is a great example of a successful scheme that appealed to a wide range of buyers.”

Matthew Beard, Senior Development Manager at Affinity Sutton, added: “Given the significant number of entries of large developments this is quite an achievement and reflects the hugely positive impact this important regeneration project has had.”
