Local people gathered in Paignton, Devon, to help us launch a specialised training hub alongside brand new homes at our White Rock development.
We’re working to create the 350 much-needed properties and facility in partnership with Aster Homes, the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and South Devon College. The ribbon was cut at a special event on Friday January 23rd.
Alongside the high quality new homes, the education hub – which has National Skills Academy for Construction status – enables schools, trainees and apprentices to learn construction skills, such as carpentry, bricklaying, business administration and plumbing.
The Mayor of Torbay, Gordon Oliver, was among those invited to mark the launch. He said: “I was pleased to support this fantastic event, White Rock is not only providing high quality new homes in Paignton but it’s enabling local people to learn construction skills.”
Nigel Palmer, managing director for Linden Homes South West, said: “We are delighted to be working with Aster Homes and launching White Rock, with the new training and education hub.
“I must thank the CITB and the South Devon College for helping this exciting project come to fruition, it will help to create new training and education opportunities in the construction industry, which is something we’re very passionate about.”
All of our floor joists are made in the UK using a carbon negative process and sustainably sourced timber.
Every piece of timber in your house is sustainably sourced timber. This means that new trees are planted to replace those cut down.
