We’ll be entering another fundraising team for the second annual charity Dragon Boat Challenge at the famous Eton Dorney Olympic lake.
Our Chiltern region will be represented at the races on June 29th with a crew aiming to contribute again to the good causes nominated by the Rotary Club of High Wycombe, whose members are organising the popular event.
We were there last year for the inaugural event and helped raise hundreds of pounds for a variety of organisations including Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance and South Bucks Hospice.
For 2014, money from the competing teams will mainly go towards Kids in Sport, which helps youngsters overcome obstacles to get more involved in activities, and the Lily Foundation, which funds support and research into Mitochondrial Disease.
Linden Homes Chiltern managing director Darren Maddox said: “We raised lots of money and had a great time last year, so we were very keen to enter another team this time around.
“We work incredibly hard to deliver high quality homes in thriving places where people want to live. We always try to add our own community contribution – even if it means getting a bit wet!”
Linden Homes has contributed over £1.2 million to health care services in the UK since 2010.
