Our North region has been helping young eco warriors fly the flag of success following their school’s green award.
We’ve given support to staff and children at the Kellington Primary School by donating a flagpole on which to hoist the coveted Green Flag, which they attained by completing the bronze and silver stages of the national Eco-Schools Project.
School business manager Nikki Hesp said: “Over the past year, all of the children in school have taken part in various projects and activities focusing on energy, bio-diversity, healthy living and the school grounds.
“The Green Flag is now flying proudly from a flagpole outside school, which has been very kindly donated by Linden Homes North.”
Linden Homes North sales manager Julie Hubbard got the chance to see first-hand some of the green projects Kellington Primary has been involved with.
She said: “It was great to see what the children and the school have achieved over the course of the past few years and was wonderful to witness their enthusiasm toward eco-incentives. They thoroughly deserve the award and we wish them continued success.”
