We gave a financial lift to a daredevil Rotarian as he prepares to throw himself out of a plane in a 15,000ft mass skydive for charity.
Our South West region donated £400 to Tony Davis who is fundraising for the national and local Multiple Sclerosis Society. The effort is to help commemorate the 50th year of the Rotary Club of Babbacombe and St Marychurch in Torquay
Tony said: “I was overjoyed to receive a donation from Linden Homes which now means I can take part in this amazing event. Although I must admit, this will represent a huge personal challenge for myself.”
Brian Deacon, sales and marketing director for Linden Homes, said: “We are delighted to support Tony’s brave 15,000ft skydive, raising awareness and much needed funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
“It is a worthwhile charity that does fantastic work offering care, guidance and support to thousands of people who have been diagnosed with the condition.”
The Rotary Challenge 50 Skydive will take place on Sunday August 10th and is open to anyone aged 16 or over. To donate or take part, visit www.rotaryevent.co.uk.
Over £133m has been committed by Linden Homes to improving local communities since 2010.
