Donation to help start up baby and toddler group

Play time: our Thames Valley region donated £250 to help start the Little Hurricanes toddler group

Play time: our Thames Valley region donated £250 to help start the Little Hurricanes toddler group

We gave a boost to a group of parents looking to set up a baby and toddler group in the Cotswolds village of Upper Rissington.

The £250 seed money is to help launch the service at the new community centre at Victory Fields, a development from our Thames Valley region which is bringing homes as well as a brand new primary school.

The group will be named Little Hurricanes to mark the RAF links to the site, which used to be a military airfield and was once home to the Red Arrows. Local health visitors have been arranged to attend monthly sessions to run a baby clinic and offer advice.

Little Hurricanes will also give youngsters the chance to get to know one another before school and allow parents time to work or run errands. Local businesses will also be invited to offer taster session to encourage community trade.

Peter Carpinelli, Linden Homes Thames Valley managing director, said: “Victory Fields is growing into a flourishing community, so we’re very pleased to support important facilities like this to get off the ground.”
