Just a few months after moving into their new house at our Fernley Park development in Uckfield, a retired couple have won an award for their beautiful garden.
Former Londoners Chris (61) and Pam Modoo (59) claimed the prize in the New Garden category of the town council-run Brighter Uckfield Annual Garden Competition.
The couple, who have been married for 42 years, clearly have a flair for design; soon after moving in their decorating inside also caught the eye of our sales staff who agreed it was even nicer than the show home!
This time it was their green fingers that attracted the attention, and they were presented with a cup and certificate by town mayor Cllr John Carvey at the Civic Centre.
Pam commented: “We were house-hunting for two whole days but Fernley Park was the first we saw. We turned up and instantly fell in love with it. It ticked everything on our list and set the benchmark very high.”
Linden Homes Guildford managing director Peter Youll said: “Congratulations to Chris and Pam for their award; what a way to arrive in a community! They’ve shown what results you can achieve with the inviting blank canvas a quality new home offers.”
