City residents welcomed to garden party and children’s day

Graylingwell Park: people came from around Chichester to enjoy the event

Graylingwell Park: people came from around Chichester to enjoy the event

We invited families from all over Chichester to come to our Graylingwell Park development to enjoy a free garden party and children’s fun day.

A big crowd turned up and joined in an array of activities ranging from arts and crafts, animal petting and face painting, to live music, an assault course and a dog show.

The venue was Havenstoke Park which is in the heart of award-winning Graylingwell Park, the UK’s largest carbon-neutral development, set within 85 acres of parkland and less than a mile from Chichester city centre.

It was organised by the Graylingwell Park Partnership: Linden Homes, Affinity Sutton and the Homes and Communities Agency, along with the Chichester Community Development Trust and Chichester district Scout groups.

Linden Homes Guildford managing director Peter Youll said: “Visitors came from around the area to enjoy the day and it looked like everyone had a great time playing games, watching the events and meeting new people.

“Helping to build thriving communities is part and parcel of any development we get involved in, and events like this one help achieve that by forging strong links with the surrounding neighbourhoods.”
