When Chelmsford MP Simon Burns visited our Eastern region’s St John’s development in the city, he hailed the homes as “attractive” and “good quality”.
He praised the collection of refurbished and new properties, which are rejuvenating the site of a former hospital, as he was given a guided tour.
They discussed the history of the hospital, the refurbishment work on some of the original buildings, and the state of the market for house building, as well as the success of Help to Buy which has supported about 45 per cent of our Eastern region’s customers.
Simon Burns MP said: “I was very pleased to have recently visited the new development by Linden Homes on part of the old St Johns site. They have provided a wide range of houses and flats that are attractive, of good quality and well laid out.
“The properties are imaginative, with excellent areas of open space and they have laid the foundations for a thriving local community when the building work has been completed.”
Roseanne Bullen, regional sales and marketing manager, added: “Mr Burns was most interested in the large number of customers at St John’s who have used, or are using Help to Buy. He was also very keen to hear about our apprenticeship scheme.”
