We’re going head-to-head with our parent company, Galliford Try, in a building competition with a difference.
Our Linden Homes North East region will be competing in a sandcastle challenge on Sandhaven Beach in South Shields, trying to beat another team from Galliford Try Partnerships North.
Working with local school children, both sides will produce designs for this year’s Sandcastle Challenge – organised by the region’s oldest independent children’s charity, Children North East.
Galliford Try is the main sponsor of this year’s event on July 3rd when more than 1,700 children from 123 schools will work with local businesses to build sand sculptures with a fairground feel.
Kate Brooks, head of sales with Linden Homes North East, said: “Team Linden is ready to go again this year and we have some ideas up our sleeve that should help us get the better of the Galliford team!”
Stephen McCoy, managing director with Galliford Try Partnerships North East, said: “Kate and I are having a bit of fun with the joke rivalry, but in all seriousness we are delighted to be sponsoring and entering two teams in the event – in support of a fantastic charity.”
Over 90% of our waste is recycled or converted into energy.
Linden Homes has contributed over £12.8 million towards outdoor open areas throughout the UK since 2010.
