Help: our Thames Valley region has donated sanitaryware for the Minster Lovell Scout hut
Our Thames Valley region stepped in to help upgrade a Scout hut in the Oxfordshire village of Minster Lovell.
The local group’s HQ needed new washroom facilities but faced a bill running into thousands of pounds to get it done, which was beyond their means.
They approached us for help – so we have lent them a hand by supplying shiny new sanitaryware to give the youngsters a base to be proud of. The new facilities are hoped to be up and running by April.
The village where the Scout hut is located is close to two of our developments in the Cotswolds: Victory Fields in Upper Rissington and Stoneleigh in Fairford.
Scout leader Dave Jackson said: “In these difficult economic times it is so comforting to know that a large organisation can still think about the little people.
“As a small group with limited funds it would have taken a long time for us to raise enough funds to replace the very outdated WC at the hut. These have been in since 1999 and looking very dated. With the kind help Linden homes the young people of Minster Lovell now have a hut to be proud of.”
Linden Homes Thames Valley sales and marketing director Steve Garton said: “It’s important to us that when we build homes in an area we also contribute to the community that is already there. I hope the Scouts will be very happy with their finished new facilities.”
The benefits of buying new make the choice easy. Here are just a few:
