An intrepid four-man team from our Midlands region pedalled up hill and down dale to cross England in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
They battled mixed weather to cycle 140 miles from coast to coast, starting their journey in Whitehaven and passing through the Lake District and the Northumbrian Hills before the final leg into Newcastle.
Making up the group were production director Brendan Blythe, production managers Lorne Ffoulkes-Jones and Don Burley, and sub-contractor Karl Firth.
Lorne said: “The Coast to Coast was a challenge that we had all talked about taking part in, but decided we would do it to raise money for charity. We were geared up for the event at the end of March, but sadly this was postponed due to bad weather.
“As well as helping the four of us to each achieve a personal goal, we were delighted to be able to boost funds for such a worthwhile.”
They completed the route in two days and expected to raise hundreds of pounds.
Our insulation process includes blowing insulation into cavity walls, which means our homes are better insulated because there are less air gaps.
