Our Guildford region helped to collect £11,500 by providing headline support for a fundraising prize evening.
The Surrey Property Awards are organised by the West Surrey Association of Surveyors and Estate Agents (WSA), and last year was in aid of the charity Disability Challengers which delivers inclusive play and leisure to hundreds of disabled children and young people.
At a ceremony at G Live in Guildford, 350 experts from around the area applauded winners in categories such as Best New Homes Development, Property Personality of the Year and Best Marketing and Presentation.
It had a fun theme of celebrating 50 years of the James Bond franchise, but raised a serious amount of money which was recently presented to the chief executive of Disability Challengers Guildford, Laura Sercombe.
WSA chairman Richard Prynne said: “I am so grateful to our sponsors, members, colleagues and guests for their participation and generosity on the evening. It makes the occasion all the more enjoyable when I am able to follow it up with such a great donation.”
Linden Homes Guildford managing director Peter Youll added: “We were delighted to give our backing to the local property industry and even happier to have helped raise thousands of pounds for Disability Challengers which does such great work.”
