A team of four apprentices are learning the skills of their new trades at our Chiltern region’s Millbrook park development in Barnet, London.
Ricky Plum is 38 and is learning to be a bricklayer. Sepehr Rahini is 19 and he’s training to be a plumber. Kostas Zoumis (25) is a carpenter’s apprentice and 19-year-old Tevin Callender is training to be an electrician.
Ricky and Sepehr started working on site at the end of last year. They were joined by Kostas in January and by Tevin in April. All four will be trained on site at Millbrook Park for a year.
They joined the scheme via a company called Denbre Ltd, which runs The Joe Brennan Training Construction Programme. The scheme supports apprentices with on-site placements, for example and ensures they have the correct protective clothing and tools.
Denise Brennan, from Denbre, said: “We are really grateful to Linden Homes for providing this experience for the apprentices. Their constant support for our programme means our apprentices can qualify in their respective trades and, more importantly, go on to get jobs.”
The blocks we use to build your home are the most energy efficient available and 80% of material within the blocks is recycled material - this saves heat loss from our homes and thus reduces CO2 emissions.
Linden Homes has contributed over £30.7 million to highways, transport systems and infrastructure throughout the UK since 2010.
