An eight-woman team calling themselves the “Linden Lovelies” entered the annual Race For Life fundraising run in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
They took part in the women-only event on Sunday May 13th – which was one of many across the country in aid of Cancer Research UK – and jogged their way round a five-kilometre course, kitted out in matching T-shirts.
The group was formed from the Linden Homes Midlands office and they set up a Facebook page to help collect a big total, and in the lead-up were busy seeking sponsorship for the good cause from as many people as they could.
They were: Nic Scanlon, Bev Bray, Chloe Bray, Vicki Barlow, Angie Evans, Karen Pitcher,
Jenny Howard and Lynn Hewitt.
Linden Homes Midlands managing director Chris Bond said: “We were all backing the ‘Linden Lovelies’ to complete the run and raise a big total for Cancer Research UK – and have a great time while they did it.
“They’ve shown a wonderful spirit in getting together and attracting sponsorship for what is a very worthy cause. I just hope their legs weren’t too stiff when they got back in the office on Monday morning!”
Linden Homes has won awards for Best Sustainable Developer four years in a row.
Linden Homes has contributed over £12.8 million towards outdoor open areas throughout the UK since 2010.
