Queen Street Shopping Centre and Cornmill Shopping Centre are both located in the centre of the town, with both containing a great overall number of well-known high street retailers and places to eat. The town is also home to an impressive number of independently owned and run shops, as well as a twice weekly market selling a good range of local produce.

Away from the shops and the town centre, you’ll find the medieval Raby Castle, situated approximately 15 miles’ drive away from Catterick. Known for being one of the best-preserved castles in the north east, there are more than 600 years’ worth of history to discover beyond the castle walls. With its 200-acre deer park, picturesque walled gardens and tearooms to relax in, it is a great place to explore with the family.
