The county town of Stafford is approximately 30 minutes north of Cannock. Founded in around 700 AD, Stafford is full of history and significant links to the past. The Elizabethan Ancient High House, situated in the town centre, is the largest timber-framed town house currently still standing in England. Walking around town, you’ll also discover St Chad’s Church which, dating back to the 12th century, makes it Stafford’s oldest building.

While history is plentiful, Stafford is also a good shopping location. The Guildhall Shopping Centre can be found in the centre of town and caters for all shopping needs, with a number of shops and eateries.

Approximately 30 miles away by car from Cannock is the city of Stoke-on-Trent.
