Located off Northampton Road, in the delightful Northamptonshire town of Brackley, Carpenter’s Place is award-winning Linden Homes’ exciting new development, equally well situated for the town centre, surrounding countryside and the region’s major towns and cities.

Within walking distance from the centre of Brackley, on the southern edge of Northamptonshire, close to the borders of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, Carpenter’s Place is the perfect location to enjoy life to the full. Here you’ll benefit from a friendly local community, good shops and leisure facilities and an excellent range of schools. Add to this its commutable distance to Northampton, Oxford and Milton Keynes, plus its great road and rail links, and you have the perfect place to set up home.

Historically, a market town based on the wool and lace trade, Brackley was built on the intersecting trade routes between London and Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge. In 1215, the town was the site of a meeting between the rebel barons and the representatives of the King. As a result, King John and the barons were to have signed Magna Carta at Brackley Castle, but eventually did so at Runnymede. Though little of the castle remains today, Brackley’s long and interesting heritage is reflected in many historic buildings. At its heart, the wide, tree lined Market Place with its Georgian and Victorian houses and shops, still provides an attractive setting for the fine town hall, dating from 1706.

Today, Brackley benefits from a mix of high street stores and local independents, attractive cafés, restaurants and several pubs. A market is still held every Friday and on the third Saturday of the month, a farmers’ market offers an array of local produce. Other amenities include a fine range of parks and open spaces, a swimming pool and leisure centre, a choice of local schools and good healthcare provision. The local community supports many clubs and activities, while the town hosts a number of events throughout the year. These include a music festival, soapbox derby, festival of motorcycling and annual carnival. For motor racing enthusiasts, Brackley is home to the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team and Silverstone Circuit is just a short drive away.

Carpenter’s Place is perfectly located for enjoying the broad landscapes of the surrounding countryside.

Within easy reach there are many idyllic walks, a host of heritage sites reflecting the area’s close links with English history and a number of delightful villages. With many canals, rivers and reservoirs in the area, there are ample opportunities for fishing, boating and other waterborne activities.

With the town being so well placed for transport links, living at Carpenter’s Place is the perfect setting for getting around, both for work and leisure. Situated close to the A43 for Towcester and Northampton, this in turn links with the M40 and M1, for routes north and south. The nearby A422 also provides access west to the M40 and Banbury, or east to Buckingham and Milton Keynes via the A5. The splendid university city of Oxford is also within easy reach, via the A43, M40 and A34. The nearest railway station to Carpenter’s Place is at Kings Sutton, around 8 miles away, and offers regular services to London and Birmingham. The town also benefits from a number of bus services, with connections to several of the region’s towns and cities.
