Morgan’s Field is our new development of new houses in Broughton, a quaint, picturesque village and a sub district of Stockbridge, just 10 miles north of Romsey. The village stands on the Roman road from Winchester to Salisbury.

Discover Broughton

The most praised feature of the village is its rural charm and exceptional community spirit, with lots of active societies and groups that you can be part of in this thriving parish, and an ideal way to enjoy being in one of our new homes. Broughton was one of the first in the Test Valley region to have a designated conservation area so that any changes within the area have to enhance building concerns in the parish. A village design statement was published in 2003.

Broughton as a village is well equipped with its own school, doctor’s surgery, village shop, village hall and Post Office. The village also has two popular pubs, The Tally Ho and The Greyhound.

Broughton covers an area of some 3,792 acres with a population of around 1,000. The Wallop Brook flows through the village to join the River Test in the east; the stream runs parallel to the main street through the village.

Enjoy the surrounding areas of Broughton with the medieval city of Salisbury to the west and Winchester to the east, and the stunning market towns of Andover to the north and Romsey to the South.

Travelling From Broughton

The Morgan’s Field development is well placed in the village, just off School Lane. There are 14 local bus services from Broughton, including routes to Southampton, Sockbridge, Winchester and Romsey. The nearest train stations are Dean, Mottisfont & Dunbridge, Grateley Station and Andover, which all run South West Trains services.

Local Schools

There are two schools in the village; Broughton Primary School and Broughton Pre-School. Both schools combine the virtues of a small community, where extra time and individual care are given to each pupil. The facilities at each school are outstanding for a child’s development. The curriculum is designed to meet the requirements of the new National Curriculum, which has been effective since September 2014. For 11+ education, Broughton is well located for schools in the Stockbridge area.
