Secondary education in Maldon is provided by Plume School, which is split over three campuses in the town. For those who wish to opt for an independent education for their children, Maldon Court Preparatory School, located approximately 1.5 miles from Limebrook, provides schooling for girls and boys aged 4 to 11.

As well as a great deal of history about the city waiting to be discovered, those who want to enjoy some retail therapy are in the right place. The Meadows and High Chelmer Shopping Centres are home to a great number of well known high street names, as well as numerous coffee shops and places to eat. The short walk between these two centres is where you’ll find a number of other popular shops and department stores, as well as many restaurants and cafes. Those interested in Chelmsford’s nightlife will also find a number of bars and pubs within and on the outskirts of the city centre. Whatever your reasons for visiting Chelmsford, you’ll always find something to see and do.

Situated approximately 35 minutes from Limebrook is Mersea Island. This popular destination may only be eight miles’ square, but there is much to discover here. With the shops, restaurants and guest houses in West Mersea, the rest of the island is open to simpler pleasures, such as relaxing on the beach, crabbing with the family or simply watching the world go by.
