Burntwood Square, Cherry Field Place, Brentwood

Burntwood Square

For such a vibrant urban town that’s only 18 miles from one of the world’s great capital cities, Brentwood has green at its very heart. Less than 20% of the area is built up and the borough has some 3,000 acres of woodland, three country parks, a large amount of farmland and a number of very attractive villages within its borders, all of which give it a very rural atmosphere.

Brentwood is a town of wonderful historical and architectural opposites, too. From religious edifices, such as The Chapel of Thomas 'a Becket which dates back to 1212, to the secret nuclear bunker at Kelvedon Hatch, which is a large underground facility maintained during the cold war as a potential regional government headquarters and has since become a museum focusing on its cold war history.

Other attractions that offer fun for family member of all ages, whatever the season, include Weald Country Park, Brentwood Museum, the 52 acre Brentwood Park Ski & Snowboarding Centre, the centrally located King George’s Playing Fields with bowling greens, crazy golf, skate park and cafeteria, plus Old MacDonald’s Educational Farm Park.

With so much to see, do and enjoy in and around Brentwood, all of which is within easy reach of Linden Homes’ stunning new development, you might never get to utilise the excellent road and rail links the town is known for.
