New Horizons, Teignmouth

New Horizons

Following the outstanding success of the first phase of properties at New Horizons that have already all been sold, the second and final phase is now released with a choice of exceptional four-bedroom detached homes.

New Horizons is situated in an enviable location high above Teignmouth with far reaching views across the shimmering Teign Estuary to the rolling countryside opposite. These new homes are stylish and contemporary in design and feature large areas of glass to maximise on the natural light and the stunning views. Many have French doors opening onto the gardens and some have balconies.

New Horizons is ideally placed for families with youngsters. Hazeldown Primary School, which has around 400 pupils, is less than half a mile away and runs a number of after school activities in association with Teignmouth Community College. Trinity College, a private school for nursery age through to sixth form is also nearby.

The development is also very close to Teignmouth Golf Club, which is set 800 feet above sea level. It has a breathtaking 18 hole golf course which provides players with challenging and enjoyable golf. Ashcombe Adventure Centre is only 4 miles from Teignmouth and for leisurely walks Ideford Common is ideal. Frobisher Wood is adjacent to the development and perfect for a walk amongst nature and wildlife.

The development is arranged around quiet cul-de-sac roads and this phase includes a choice of three four-bedroom detached homes with private gardens and garages. The development benefits from a convenience store in Raleigh Road.

Teignmouth

A working port as well as a classic English seaside resort, Teignmouth is perched on a small peninsular and is a town of character and history. Its seaward side faces onto the glorious sweep of the bay, and features a fine victorian pier, an esplanade, and a pebble beach that stretches into the distance with views all the way to Portland Bill on a clear day. The other side of the town faces onto Teignmouth estuary and River Back Beach, popular with families and young children, where there are picturesque beach huts, quiet sheltered waters, soft sand, and coloured fishing boats bobbing on the tide.

Teignmouth has a pleasant, paved shopping area with street cafés that create a lively continental atmosphere in the summer months, and is generally well served with national shops and small independent retailers. The town also has a diving centre, a leisure centre, a lido with a large outdoor heated swimming pool, and quiet parks and gardens.

Teign Corinthian Yacht Club, which is also situated right on the seafront, runs a lively programme of dinghy and cruising events and runs RYA (Royal Yachting Association) courses. In summer, there are plenty of different boat trips to choose between, from mackerel fishing around the estuary to deep sea fishing.

The Den, a park-like area on the seafront, has a very popular children’s play area with four zones catering for children of different ages. The town itself has three primary schools and a community college. There is also a community hospital and a main line station in the town centre, with trains connecting to Exeter and London Paddington or Penzance.

The village of Shaldon, said to be the prettiest village in Devon, is literally just across the estuary. Newton Abbot is just 6 miles from our development and Exeter is easily commutable, being under 16 miles over Haldon Hill. Exeter International Airport is just 18 miles away.
