After more than a year's property-hunting, it was Marley Mead in Dorking where an expecting couple from London finally found the space, peace and value they had been searching for.
Jaysen Arumugum (36) and his wife, Cheryl (33), had set their sights on the Surrey town and its surrounding countryside as the place to where they wanted to relocate from their former home in Carshalton.
But for months they were frustrated by the high prices, lack of space and mean levels of parking -- until they visited Marley Mead where their new home, a beautiful three-bedroom, three-storey semi-detached house, ticked the right boxes.
Cheryl said: "I was actually very against a new-build at the start. But obviously I changed my mind! It's nice being in a new house because it's so well insulated and it's very warm. That's been great.
"A lot of properties were also very expensive for what they were and did not have a lot of space. We were definitely looking for space as my husband is from Mauritius and his parents come to stay with us quite regularly and we wanted a house that was big enough for them to feel like they had their own space!"
